I was born in Atlanta, Georgia where my interest in metalwork began at an early age. It was my father who first taught me to weld at the age of ten. He taught me the fundamentals of fabrication and instilled in me a strong work ethic and the basic desire to create.
For me, art is a chosen way of life, it’s how I survive and also what gives meaning to my days.
I believe it is in the process of creating that true transformation takes place; in those moments my hands become a conduit for something greater than myself.
I incorporate both raw and recycled materials into my pieces, striving always for a unique aesthetic that reflects the spirit of things. As I manipulate the metal, certain forms emerge and come to life. There is a certain skill inherent in the craftsmanship, but the artistry comes from a divine source.
